Valentine's Day!

Wow, so I've never been one that actually liked Valentine's Day. I don't know if it because I never really was dating anyone before or if I just didn't like it because I thought it was a stupid holiday. But for some reason this year, I was actually excited for it. Ok, it wasn't for some reason, it's because I'm dating an amazing guy that I got to spend Valentine's Day with.

I've been looking forward to it because I was excited to give Adam his present and I was making dinner for him for the first time, so I was excited about that also. As Valentine's got closer though, I was getting a little nervous about making dinner for him because his family are all amazing cooks and he knows how to cook really well also. So I was nervous that I was going to ruin dinner or something. But once Valentine's finally got here yesterday everything seemed like it was going to go ok.

We were going to eat at my mom's house because my whole family was going to be gone, so we would able to enjoy Valentine's just him and me. So I had decided to make Parmesean chicken and a salad for dinner, than a chocolate pudding cake with chocolate covered strawberries on top of the cake. Then for his actual gift, I made him a Jazz fleece blanket, I got him a LeBron James shirt, a San Fransico 49ers toothbrush (it was just funny and it's his favorite football team), then I got him butterfingers and pretzel m&m's because those are his favorite treats. I couldn't wait for 7 pm to come so that he would come over and we could be together.

I got off work at 5 last night and raced to my mom's house to start making dinner and actually get myself ready at the same time. Thank goodness my mom and sister were home because they helped me clean the house and set up the table to look all cute and fancy. Then while I was getting ready and Adam was supposed to be here in 15 minutes my mom comes up to me and tells me that my brother now has a migraine and so they aren't going to be leaving but she reassured me that they would just stay downstairs and not bother us. Than next thing I know my sister decides to spend the night at home. At this point I started to stress/freak out a little bit because this is not how I planned for things to be, I thought it would be just a quiet peaceful night but with my family all home that was not going to be possible.

So I quickly finished getting ready with only seconds to spare before Adam came over. Once he got here things went pretty ok though. I opened the door to find him holding a bouquet of yellow roses for me (my favorite color of roses)! I immediately gave him a huge hug and told him thank you. Then the next thing I know he hands me a bag of chocolate covered cinnamon bears which I love and a folded up piece of paper. So I quickly went a put the flowers in a water in a vase. Then Adam was like open the paper so I did, I just about passed out when I opened it. It was tickets to the Utah Jazz vs the Boston Celtics basketball game that I've been wanting to go to, I was so freaking happy.

Then it was his turn to open his present. He was so happy when he saw the t-shirt and the blanket and laughed when he saw the toothbrush, like I knew he would. I was so happy that he liked his gift, I had been looking forward to giving it to him for a long time. Then we had dinner, since my sister was home she decided that she wanted to be out waitress and serve us so she did. Which I'm not going to lie was kind of nice to be served lol. So Adam and I sat there eating our dinner and just talking, it was so nice. And I got his approval on my cooking which I was so happy about. I think I had the biggest smile on my face when he told me that dinner was really good and that he liked it and approved. I was so nervous to cook for him.

After dinner we were really full, so we held off on dessert for a little bit so Adam and I decided to watch a video. We went on redbox.com to find the movie Valentine's Day, we thought it was good since it was that holiday lol. We found it and the closest one was in Pleasant Grove so we decided that it wasn't that far away so we would just drive there and get it. So we start driving and realize neither one of us has our debit cards with us so we turn around but before going back to my house we stop at his parents house. It was fun, I love his family we stayed there for a few minutes and just talked them and then went home and got my debit card. We then drove to Pleasant Grove to get the movie just to find out the machine wasn't working. Oh course, that's just our luck.

So on the way home Adam and I were talkin and I mentioned, I wonder if your parents have the movie. So Adam called up his family and come to find out that they did have the movie haha. Why we didn't think of asking them before I don't know but we didn't. So we went to his parents house again and grabbed the movie and then went home and watched Valentine's Day. Before he left Adam decided that he wanted to tickle me to death before he left so he did. It was pretty funny and he now has come up for different names for my laughs/ ( I didn't know I had different laughs but apparently I do, who knew).

Then we looked at the time and say that it was 1:00 am. So Adam went home since we both have school and work in the morning. Like I said I have never liked Valentine's Day before but Adam made this Valentine's awesome and so much fun! :)
