So I just have to tell you that I absolutely love my roommate Madi! She called me while I was at work yesterday and was like Lexi!, I know this is way last minute but do you want to go camping with me tonight? And without even really think I said yes because one I need to get away from everything right now and just have fun. Also, it's an adventure with Madi which are always the best and so much fun!
So I got off work and about an hour an a half later we were on our way up to Cedar Fort to go camping with some of our friends. The drive up there was pretty fun, just talking and rocking out to music in the truck. After we were driving on a road goin straight for about 45 minutes we thought we might be lost. So we decided to ask someone for directions. So we saw a family playing outside in their yard and our friend Ryan is the funniest girl. She was like we have a weird question for you and the family was like probably and we have a weird answer for you. We then asked them how to get to Cedar Fort. We found out that we still had to drive for about another 20 minutes on the road then we would finally get there.
We kept driving and eventually we found it and found a pretty sweet little camp site to put up our tent. It was probably pretty funny for the people around us to see us putting up our tent because it was so windy that we kinda had a hard time getting it up but it was fun and we eventually got it up. Yes us girls rock! After we got camp set up we decided to go drive to the cute little country store that we had passed to wait for the guys that were coming camping with us. While waiting for the boys to show up which took forever!!! Madi and I saw the cutest baby horse across the street from the store so we went over and saw it. Then we all decided that since it was so nice outside that we were going to lay in the back of the truck so we did. It was pretty fun, Cassie and Madi we're layin on the top of the truck getting tan and Ryan and I were in the bed of the truck just tanning and waiting.
The boys, Allen, Logan, and Jace finally showed up so we headed back up to the camp site so that we could start making dinner since by this time we were starving. So while the boys were setting up their tent we made a fire and Madi is amazing she made tin foil dinners for all of us before we left and they were so so good. We then all just sat around the fire and talked and roasted s'mores it was a lot of fun. Ryan and Cassie weren't able to spend the night so Madi, Jace, and I drove them to their car so that they could head home then we headed back to our site.
Once we got back we all just talked and told life stories it was so funny. We also had Madi's ipod and speakers so we were dancing and singing to music which was so funny to watch the guys. We were up till like 2 and we did not even realize it was so late cuz it was a full moon out so it was still pretty light out and it seriously only felt like midnight. So we all decided to go to bed but we were all dreading the walk to our tents because it was so cold outside and we didn't want to leave the warmth of the fire. But we eventually all made it to bed.
Once Madi and I were in our tent we got way close to each other so that we could try to stay warm even though we both had 2 sleeping bags lol. Then we decided that we weren't that tired so we were crazy and took some funny picture oh man I love this girl, she is so funny. Camping with her was just like when we were roommates it was so much fun, oh man I miss that girl so much! We finally did fall asleep even though it was freezing, but hey that's what camping is all about freezing to death at night haha.
When we woke up we heard the boys outside our tent but didn't know what they were doing and when nothing happened we thought oh maybe they were just seeing if we were awake yet. It wasn't until we got out of the tent and went to get our breakfast that we noticed that they had taken the poles out of our tent trying to collapse it on us. But joke was on them because it didn't work lol. It was pretty funny but the boys were nice they had a fire for us so that we could get warm when we woke up and they had breakfast for us.
After breakfast we all started to clean up and put our stuff away so that we could leave. But clean up only took like 15 minutes so then we decided to turn the music on again we all had a dance party and were throwing a football around which was pretty fun. We then took pictures really quick before we all left and went our own ways. This camping trip was so much fun I loved it so much!!!! It was pretty funny because all of our parents kept telling us how it was going to rain on us but guess what it never rained on us once so haha to all you lol we had nice weather we were pretty happy that it didn't rain on us though.
I'm so glad that Madi invited me to go camping with her and her friends. Because this trip was honestly something that I really needed right now just to get away from everything that has been goin on in my life lately. And it was nice being able to get away from everything and just have lots of fun. I love camping and being outside so this was perfect for me. And coming home covered in dirt was a lot of fun lol. It's pretty funny how many inside jokes and quotes came from this camping trip also. Like I smell weed guys, do you smell weed, do you know what that is? Sorry ranger, we were just trying to buld a house honest. Oh I love my friends you guys rock thanks for a fun weekend!!!! :)
